Introduction

I became a Fashion Designer when my second-grade teacher posed the age-old question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?” I decided to stick with it.

Education

I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from SCAD in 2023. During my studies, I completed minors in Design for Sustainability, Art History, Painting, and Drawing and maintained a 4.0 GPA.

Experience

Costume Technician at The Downtown Delilahs

I specialized in costume repair and rapid adjustments under tight deadlines using hand and machine sewing. I also managed costume inventory and facilitated rapid changes for performers, honing my garment construction and fabric functionality skills.

Fashion and Sustainability Design Shadowing at Stella McCartney

Shadowed the Ready-to-Wear (RTW) Womenswear design team, participating in fittings and managing fabric selections. Further explored sustainable design practices and contributed to NFT research for the sustainability team. This experience provided valuable insights into cutting-edge fashion design and sustainability practices.

History

My adolescence consisted of sketching, sewing, reading, and absorbing relevant knowledge I could get my hands on. Each baby step propelled me deeper into my passion. My late grandmother gifted me a sewing machine, and I took lessons at a local sewing machine and vacuum repair shop. I attended various pre-college programs throughout high school, taking classes at various universities, including month-long courses at the Academy of Art in San Francisco and another at the Savannah College of Art and Designers (SCAD). In my senior year of high school, I created a capsule collection focused on sustainable textiles.
